Whitworth Square / Moorland

Whitworth Square is the a designated conservation area of Whitworth with the Red Lion Inn dating back to 1675 and full of history. The cobbled square is surrounded by a number of key Whitworth houses and over looked by St. Bartholomew's church, grave yard and the old Whitworth stocks. The Red Lion inn offers bed and beakfast and is a ideal starting point for some beautiful walks over the Pennines. Car parking is available in the Square and surrounding feeder roads.
